2025 Beaver Beginnings (formerly Jumpstart)

August 21st, 9:00 – 11:30

The Loyal Heights kindergarten team is excited to welcome you and your incoming kindergartener with our Beaver Beginning program! This is an opportunity for your kindergartener to see important places, meet the kindergarten teachers, and make new friends!

This program created by the LH kindergarten team. Incoming kindergarteners will be dropped off with the Kinder team, split into groups, and rotate through activities in each classroom. We will introduce school expectations and routines, tour important parts of the school, enjoy recess, snack, songs, books and fun!

Wednesday, August 20:

• There will be a Q and A with Principal Berkenwald after drop off on Wednesday, August 21.
• 9 a.m. – Sign in at main entrance, on 25th, near the flagpole.
• 12 p.m. – Sign out at main entrance, pick up on playground

Thursday, August 21:

• 9 a.m. – Sign in at main entrance, on 25th, near the flagpole.
• 11:30 a.m. – Sign out at main entrance. 11:30 a.m. – Sign out, pick up on playground, PLEASE NOTE EARLIER PICK-UP TIME at 11:30.
• OPTIONAL (Thursday Only): Bring a sack lunch, enjoy a 30-minute lunch w/ your child in the cafeteria. This is a great chance to practice opening lunch containers they will be on their own for during school. bring a sack lunch, enjoy a 30 minute lunch w/ your child in the cafeteria.

Cost: FREE, but please sign up. Everyone who signs up will be able to attend.

What to bring:

• Your kindergartener in shoes they can run and play in!
• A labeled water bottle.
• A labeled peanut and tree nut free snack in a container/bag that can be thrown away at the end of snack. Examples: goldfish in a Ziplock, a granola bar, applesauce pouch etc.

Please do not bring backpacks, lunch boxes, or school supplies to Beaver Beginnings (we don’t want to lose anything!)

Important September Start of School Dates:
September 3rd – 5th, (W/TH/F): Family Connection Visits. (1-on-1 family & teacher 30-minute meetings to be scheduled at the end of August. There is NO school for Kindergarten on these day.

September 8th, (Monday), 7:55, First Day of Kindergarten!
