2024-25 Global Reading Challenge Update

The Sparkly Beavers placed second in the city competition!

Congratulations to the roughly 50 fourth and fifth grade students that participated in this year’s Global Reading Challenge! The teams are:

• The Sparkly Beavers
• Chippy’s Champs
• The Best Beavers
• The Loyal Readers
• The Brilliant Beavers
• The Unbeatable Beavers
• The Alpha Beavers
• The Golden Beavers
• The Brave Beavers

The teams read 8 books and competed against each other to answer questions about the books. Students in groups had to reach compromise on their answers before submitting them to the Seattle Public Library judges. The winning team, “The Sparkly Beavers” answered every question correct and will move on to the regional competition.
