Inclusion in Our Schools: A Community Conversation

June 6th, 6:00pm – 7:30pm, Loyal Heights Lunchroom.

We invite you to join the Loyal Heights Elementary PTA, in partnership with the UW Haring Center* and All Youth Belong, in a Community Conversation about how our schools and school communities can increase inclusion and belonging for youth with disabilities in ways that help all kids thrive.

Participants will:

  • Connect with families and school staff to discuss current inclusive practices in our schools, barriers to inclusion, goals and aspirations.
  • Create cross-school connections and open spaces for continued collaboration.
  • Leave with actionable steps to make your school more Inclusive.

*Moderated by the University of Washington’s Haring Center for Inclusive Education.

Participating Schools: Loyal Heights Elementary, Adams Elementary, Licton Springs K-8, Magnolia Elementary, Hazel Wolf K-8, and West Woodland Elementary.

Language Interpretation & accommodations available (if requested by May 23). Snacks & drinks will be provided. Childcare available for kids 5+. Use RSVP to secure spot in the childcare opportunity.
