Kindergarten
Kusama Pumpkins
Students studied mentor artist Yayoi Kusama. Using water color paint and cork mono-printing, students created their own pumpkins.



First Grade
Foil Engravings
Students learned about traditional and contemporary Coast Salish art. They then utilized trigons, ovoids, crescents and u-shapes to create their own templates and engravings.

Sneaker Design
Students learned about contemporary Coast Salish art by studying visual artist and activist Louie Gong. They then utilized trigons, ovoids, crescents and u-shapes to design their own sneakers.



Fourth Grade
Photography
Students learned about point of view by investigating distance, angle and composition in photography. They then used thumbnail planning, camera “challenge” days, and collaborative skills to take/print/mount their own photographs.



Fifth Grade
Printmaking
Students studied mentor artist Keith Haring. Then, focusing on a political message or spreading joy, students designed, engraved, and printed their own mono prints.
