Why Hour of Code? In our tech-driven world, future success in any field will rely on understanding technology. That’s why every student should get early exposure to computer science — to unlock their potential to create, explore, and thrive. The Hour of Code makes coding accessible to all and helps close the diversity gap in computer science, where only 18% of degrees go to women and 19% to underrepresented groups. Our school is excited to join millions worldwide in The Hour of Code during Computer Science Education Week! The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Here’s a video to get you inspired J https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DxWIxec6yo. If you have specific Hour of Code question, please reach out to Julie Smith at julies1916@gmail.com.
In the coming days, each class will have a hour of fun and engaging learning about code.
