The team Tye Dye Books won the LH Global Reading Challenge. Members are: Iris F, Lucy S, Vivian C, Solomon H, Kate F, Posy T and Eli K.
They will go on to the Semi Finals at the downtown Seattle Public Library to represent Loyal Heights on March 12th.
Congratulations Tye Dye books and well-done to all 8 teams who worked so hard on this challenge. Students read 10 books and were ready to answer questions in the battle of the books.
Thanks to the 4th and 5th grade teachers for their flexibility in allowing teams to meet weekly, and thanks to Ms. Ware and Ms. Vaagsland for helping me run the groups.

The Global Reading Challenge is a reading incentive program for 4th and 5th graders enrolled in Seattle Public Schools. Students form teams and read 10 books, then take part in a trivia competition to determine the winner for the city of Seattle.
