Technology Roll Out: I now have enough information to share our distribution
plan. As far as iPads, they will not be delivered to us until Tuesday or
Wednesday as there was a delay on delivery to SPS. While we acquired
laptops this summer, we did not receive batteries. They finally came
today, but we are still short 20 computers. In short, we will not be able
to deliver devices until next week based on the plan below. I know
this means some of you will be using your own devices, and I am truly sorry.
In preparation for the distribution of
technology to students, below you will find the schedule as well
as Safety Protocols and Procedures required
by SPS. Kindergarten, First and Second grades will use the iPads. The Third, Forth and Fifth grades will use the Chromebooks.
K-5 Families will have access to pick
up devices at Loyal Heights as follows:

Retrieving Chromebooks and iPads
- Families
will follow designated technology pick-up times according to last
name
- If you cannot make the scheduled time, please contact
Ms. Blangy at ccblangy@seattleschools.org. We can
arrange alternative pick up times that coincide
with pickup of classroom supplies and materials.
- Please contact Ms. Sanchez at elsanchez1@seattleschools.org if the
schedule, days and times do not work for your family and
we can support you.
- To speed up the process, here is the Parent/Student Agreement form you can fill
out and bring. Choose the language in the drop-down menu.
Print, sign, bring. You don't need to print the other forms but will
use the same link for more information about the computers.
Pick Up Location and Safety
- We
will use the covered area outside the
main entrance of Loyal Heights.
- All
parents will be required to wear masks. Please bring/wear your own
mask. Limited masks will be available at the entrance should
you forget.
- In
order to keep staff and families safe, we ask that whenever possible,
only one adult per family picks-up items.
- Social
distancing guidelines will be in place at all times (6 feet apart).
- Please
avoid congregating and socializing together after
pickup.
- A box
of “clean” pens will be separated out from a box of “contaminated”
pens.
- Hand
sanitizer will be readily available
Bring Your Own Device Information

being issued a district laptop, please complete the attached “Bring Your
Own Device Form” and send it to Ms. Blangy. Bring Your Own Device Agreement
- If you have questions about bringing your own device,
please see the attached FAQ. Bring Your Own Device FAQ
