    Elementary Band Students

On February 26th, Ballard High School hosted the NW Regional Band Festival. This is an evening where all local elementary band students, as well as area middle and high schools share a night of music. The stands were packed with families with standing room only.
The elementary students played together as one large band. Then Salmon Bay, Catherine Blaine, McClure and Robert Eagle Staff each performed a section of their own. The newly opened Lincoln High School performed a rousing number with entire trombone section as the feature.

The host school’s Wind Ensemble group performed Fanfare: Of Vision and Dreams. The evening ending with all the bands playing Go Band in unison. More pictures and a short video can be found on the Ballard Performing Arts Google Photos site. A great showcase for the younger kids to see where you can go in public school music programs. Watch for the NW Choir Fest upcoming in April.
