Loyal Heights owes its success in large part to the involvement of parents and community members, who volunteer their time throughout the school year. Some volunteer programs include Room Parents, the Artist In Residence program, the Popcorn Friday Kernels, field trip helpers and more.

We need your help to continue to build successful and enriching programs for our kids. To get started, first read Big Blue. That's our volunteer orientation guide, which describes the various volunteer opportunities. Once you've chosen the job that's right for you, you'll need to fill out a Screening Form for Seattle Public Schools. Even if you've filled one out before, the district requires this form to be filled out every two years.

Volunteers can use this web site to build custom documents and forms in support of their programs. For instance, a Room Parent might create a custom web page (Called FusionPages) that lists the schedule of events and room volunteer opportunities that people can sign up for.
